Brief introduction

The pillow plates,also called dimpled plates or thermo plates are a special heat exchange plate made of two stainless steel plates that are laser welded together in a customized pattern.

Working principle

The boundary of the plate is completely laser welded to create a pressure seal. These laser welded plates are then inflated hydraulically with a hydrostatic pump or inflated with dry nitrogen. During the expansion process,pressure is applied to the steel sheets to deform the material and create a cavity for the heat exchange medium. After this stage, the plates are formed into cylindrical elements, they are connected to each other,as well as welding of flanges and conical and pressed ends.In practical applications, the additional welding path is often added in the pillow heat exchange plate, in order to adjust and control the flow of fluid into and out of the heat exchange plate nozzle position, the fluid velocity and flow rate inside plate, so as to optimize the heat exchange effect.It can be used with refrigerant, liquid or steam.
