In any Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) system, the true challenge lies not in the pre-treatment of water, but in the final, cost-effective disposal of the high-salinity, high-concentration brine rejected by the Reverse Osmosis (RO) system. This is precisely where the evaporator plays its pivotal role.
Hanpu Technology's MVR (Mechanical Vapor Recompression) evaporator is the powerful heart of the modern ZLD process. By implementing superior energy recycling, it evaporates the high-salinity brine to a supersaturated state at a fraction of the cost of traditional thermal methods, separating it into pure water condensate (for reuse) and solid crystalline salts. We deliver more than just equipment; we deliver the enabling technology that ensures your entire ZLD system is reliable, sustainable, and economically viable for the long term.
Our MVR/MEE evaporation and crystallization systems help you cut energy and stabilize operations across high-salinity processes: inorganic salt production & PDV salt refining, salt-lake lithium brine pre-concentration and mother-liquor recovery, seawater-desalination brine concentration and Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD), and food/nutraceutical duties such as sugar refining and vitamin concentration. For industrial wastewater, we deliver high-TDS brine concentration up to ZLD. With the right evaporator (MVR or multi-effect) and crystallizer configuration, you get lower steam use, reliable continuous duty, and compliance—on a compact, modular footprint.

An MVR (Mechanical Vapor Recompression) evaporator is a very energy-efficient machine for concentrating liquids. Its main job is to recycle its own steam. It captures the vapor produced during boiling, compresses it to make it hotter, and then uses that hot vapor to boil more liquid.
The main difference from a traditional Multi-Effect Evaporator (MEE) is the energy source:
This means MVR has much lower operating costs.
It works in a smart, continuous loop:
Because it reuses its own energy, it's incredibly efficient.
MVR systems are very versatile. They are great for any industry that needs to remove water or recover solvents, including:
